I celebrated my 28th birthday yesterday, and I decided to jot down some things I’ve found valuable in the last year. I hope they resonate with you: Traveling knocks down rigid mental walls: There’s a book I love called “The Geography of Bliss,” which explains how travel has the capacity to act as a reset. “Change your location, and you just may change yourself. By relocating ourselves, reorienting ourselves, we shake loose the shackles of expectation. Adrift in a different place, we give ourselves permission to be different people.”
